Very nice!
One of the guys on that site commented he didn't care much for a 44mag on deer. I find that kinda odd, I've had nothing but stellar performance with mine on deer. Reckon it depends on the bullet and where you put 'em.

well me too, i'm still trying to decide when i've seen a better 8ptr. i know i'm jumoing the gun here (pardon the pun)but i'll be surprised where it falls score wise against only other 8ptrs for that state.

i'm still in awe over that being only a 8ptr. that is truely a trophey of a life time and to have been taken by handgun to boot. can't wait to see what it will score. i'm hoping he post the scoring on it when he gets it, both green and final.

I as at the taxidermist shop the day it was brought in, I was also there when it was scored by the taxidermist, it is a unofficial score of 159 gross and 151 net. It is a typical 8 point with a 29 5/8 spread.
It is sure to be a Delaware State record for handguns. This is only the second year we have had a handgun season in Delaware. So with the introduction of handguns to the record books in Delaware, it should be number one.
There was also another deer taken a few days of this deer, that scored 144 net within 10 miles of the big one. So we have some big deer here in little old Delaware.
If you're going to make a hole, make it a big one.

So we have some big deer here in little old Delaware. Yeah, there must be a few  I hunted with a guy in Iowa this year that had an absolute monster BC 8pt from Delaware mounted in his living room. It was taken by shotgun years ago. He said it was the #1 shotgun 8pt for many years there. Reloader7RM
