Could anyone tell me if a tang peep for a Win 94 will interchange with a Win. 92? I see them listed for the 94 but not the 92. Maybe I'm not looking in the right place? Thanks! Virgil B.

Got my information on the Marbles sight. They list the 92 and 94 with the same numbers. Virgil B.

This information is for the older Marble tang sights. The W1 Marbles tang sight works on most 94s, however the W2 Marbles has a different stem and is recommended for the 92. The tang sights will need different tang screws if the gun has a pistol grip vs a straight grip. Brownells has each type of screw.

I took one off a 94 here recently...screwed right onto my 92.

I just put one of the new Marbles tang sights on a M99. It is very neat. It doesn't look old but with the windage adjustment it made sighting in MUCH quicker and easier.
The hole spacing on the 94/92 is the same on my guns so the sight should interchange, except for the height adjustments. (44 wcf vs 30 30 ) I haven't tried this but might when "spring" arrives.

Have a Lyman tang peep on order for my Winchester 92. Can't wait to get it here! (grin!) Just bought an 1894 Marlin 32-20 that came with a Marbles tang peep. Nice sight! and the windage adjustment is great! Virgil B.

Jed- are you able to use the screws that came with the rifle or do you need others. I talked to a fellow model 92 owner (mine is a Browning) and he said his was getting tapped to accommodate? What gives?

I used the screws that attached the sight to the 94,to attach the sight to the 92. Put the screws from the 92,in the stock of the 94. My 94 was made in 1899. My 92 was made 1919.

Does the original Marbles W9 tang sight work for the 92 or 94?
I have one in a box of old parts.

The hole spacing should be the same. Want to sell it? Am interested, if you want to sell! Thanks, Virgil B.

Can't find the information on the W9 sight. Anybody know what it fits? I checked my two Marbles sights and couldn't find a number on either sight. Thanks! Virgil B.

If you look at the sight from the other side, it might be a "M6".
The base is not curved (flat) and 2 1/8 hole spacing.

confused, Thanks for the information! Was hoping it was the non-windage adjustable Marbles sight for the Win. 92/94. Dad gummit! (kicks toe in dirt!) Virgil B.

Got my Lyman tang sight mounted on my 92 yesterday. It bolted right on. So 92/94 is same/same. Got 7/8" for 5 shots at 30 yards with the new tang sight, shooting 85 grain XTP's and 2400 powder at 2100 FPS. Come on jackrabbits! Virgil B.
