Im looking for a bow for my 8 year old and just wondering what you guys thought of the Browning Midas 3, or Midas 4.

If anyone knows where to get one at a good price, please let me know.

I bought a micro midas for my son and would again, however
I would start him out on a recurve first to get a feel for a steady hold\draw point. I think we will be working harder than if we had started with the more traditional training platform.

I just picked up a Whisper Creek Phantom for my 9 year old son. Had to adjust the draw length waaayyy short so that he could draw it right, but we have already raised the draw weight significantly as he has practiced.

He won't be able to hunt with it, but he will learn all the mechanics.

Very nice bow in my opinion. Most importantly, HE LOVES IT!

You might want to check out the Edge, I think it's a slightly better quality bow from the reviews that I've read. I just bought my 12 year old son an Edge although he won't know it until Easter morning.

My wife and daughter both have Browning micro midas 3 bows. The bows shoot great and are easy to tune and are very forgiving.
