Cleaning the barrel as we shoot. What a great idea, if it works. Anyone try this stuff?? http://www.cleanballistics.com/store/home.php

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

My rifles all shoot better with dirty barrels...

They foisted a sample on me at SHOT. I'll try it and we'll see. The bad news is that my range is probably under about leventeen feet of snow, so it may be...well, May.

Let's see, this idea was in use a couple of centuries back with the heeled bullet design. Perhaps they have a new formulation.
I would want to know what this stuff is, and how to get it out of a barrel, before using it.

I would want to know what problem they're solving, as well. I clean rifle barrels once a year, or less. Most of mine shoot better fouled, and until accuracy drops off, I see no point to messing with them. I'm thinking this product is a lot like 90% of the fishing tackle sold in sporting goods stores, but I could be wrong . DN

I think it's a product designed to keep the barrel makers in business!

No list of ingredients on the packaging, either. I did pointedly ask and was reassured that there's no moly in it.
From the looks of it, it might be a kind of reverse-engineered Lubalox. But that's solely a guess. It's not supposed to be applied as thickly as Lubalox is, for one thing. Indeed, they emphasize that less is better. They also said it can be used on cast bullets.
Beats me. All I can say is that I'll test it. I'll also look at what treated, seated and pulled bullets look like to check its durability during loading. Be patient, though. My range is moose-ear deep in snow.

Sounds like Snake Oil.....no ingredients listed on the bottle.. No thanks, I'll stick with shooting unlubed bullets. Besides, having lapped barrels, there's no problem with fouling and cleaning.
