I was just reading about that bear "expert" and his girlfriend who were killed by brownies in Alaska recently. Apparently, when the authorities went in to investigate they were charged by an aggresive bear. The bear was killed by 11 shots from an auto pistol. It fell just 12 feet away from the man with the pistol. Has anyone heard what kind of pistol that guy was using? The story said that there were a couple of other guys with shotguns backing him up but they didn't use them. Having lived and worked in AK for a number of years, I'm amazed that they went in there without a long gun.
