Accurate Arms Powders for 350 Rem Mag

I don't have a 350 Rem Mag anymore...but, some of the powders from Accurate Arms have treated me well with a 35 Whelen Improved that I have. I think I settled on 2015BR, but you might try one of the others on that list. The velocities look a little more impressive, but are based on a 20" barrel vs. the 18" barrel.

Wish I could be of more help.

Look at Vithavouri N140. It works great with the 200 grain Hornady in my 673 Remington in .350.

I've been working with RL15 and IMR4320 with 200 and 225 grainers.

I have had good success with W748, AA2015, IMR4320 and IMR 3031 with bullets from 200 grains to 250 grains.

Where did you say we are going? And why are we in this handbasket?

I also ran this thread on the 350 a little while back:

how fast can you run the 250 out of a 350 Rem "short" magnum? Does anyone but Remington chamber a rifle for it? Can you have you shot pistol bullets with it?? I am just curious. I was thinking a light 180 grain bullet would be real nice for light game like deer and a 250 would be cool for other animals.

I have a 35 Whelen and have had such good luck with RL-15 that I don't even consider any other powder. My most accurate load is with 250 speers. If I owned a 350 mag, RL-15 would be the first powder I'd try.

I have three .350s... A 600/18.5", 660 20" and a custom Ruger 77MKII All-Weather with 18.25" barrel.

Have not shot any 250s from the Remingtons as they usually get fed 220 Speer FPs and 225 Nosler Petitions using 60 grains of WW748.

The Ruger has been on a diet of 250s with 59 grains of WW748 and a CCI Magnum primer.

Hornady SP....2470 fps
Speer HotCore...2466
Hawk RN......2460
Speer Grand Slam...2430

Took one round of each at 50 yards they made one ragged hole.

Started with 54 grains and work up...still no pressure signs at 59.

54...2317
55...2353
56...2393
57...2427
58...not noted

Factory 200s run 2670 from an 18.5" barrel.

Jim..the 180 Speer FP and 180 Hornady SSP are excellent on deer. I usually use the 220 range of bullets from my 600 bacause I hunt black bear also and prefer to have the extra weight. A friend has killed three blacks with three shots..bang-flop..usuing the 220 Speer. I have killed one deer with the 220 and it could not get to the ground fast enough from a dead run.

Yes, one can use any .357 pistol bullet. I use the 160 Hornady Silhouette bullet with 14 grains of 700X at 1500 fps for grouse and rabbits while out hunting. No expansion and little meat damage.

My 77 MKII and 600

Speer 220 that pasted through the shoulder joint, lung and heart of a 285 pound black bear...hard to justify a "premium" bullet when a 25 cent one preforms like this.

Jim...was looking at some old gun books last night and in one of them the listed velocity for the no longer produced Remington 250 grain CoreLoc load was 2410 fps from an 18.5" barrel. I have one full box of these left that I found at a gun show a few years ago but don't want to use any for testing...

Ruger just discontinued chambering the .350 in their blue/walnut and All-Weather MKII rifles. The All-Weather guns are being sold for less than wholesale over on GunBroker. For $450.00 it is a bargin. Too bad Ruger isn't bringing out their new carbine in .350...would have been the perfect rifle for it. Remington has dropped the 673 but one can still get the 20" CDL in .350. Too bad they would make the same gun in stainless with a nice synthetic stock...I would be first in line.
