There's a bit of price difference. What are the benefits of springing for the Express version???? Thanks, 1Minute

Not that you'll likely need it in a 45-90, but the Express is 30 to 50 fps faster than the standard Goex. What is REALLY great about the Express is the fouling, or rather the lack of it. Fouling is very light, and very moist. If you are going to hunt, you don't even need a blow tube with Express.

When they first released express, I shot 5 lbs of 2f express along with 5lbs of cartridge, and in my rifle I could not see enough difference to justify the extra dollars either in the accuracy or the fouling.
In the 40-65 however 3f express does provide enough extra accuracy to justify the expense.
I'ld heartly recommend you try some Cartridge and some 2f express to see which one your rifle likes best.

I don't like Goex,

.....I love it.

I can get a "Percieved accuracy edge"....runnin' Swiss.

Now that "fouling management",....'S GONE ,....anyone with head on straight,....wipes between shots.

Hell, I wish I could get hands on some more of that late '90's Elephant......

ANY half decent BP will run,......and deliver more accuracy than you can hold.

Manage 'yer foulin'

IT'LL ALL WORK OUT.

MOST ACCURATE RIFLES,....YOU'll SEE

Crossfire, when I was working up for my moose hunt, I loaded FFG Express and ran it without wiping just to get a benchmark to run with on my hunt. It did foul much less than regular FFG and that was what I wanted to see for my hunt. As it worked out, I only required 1 shot but I knew going in that if more were needed, accuracy wouldn't suffer. It performed as advertised so far as my experience with it goes.

It's not unheard of to fire as many as 10 rounds from a 45-70 loaded with 68-70 grs of Goex Cartridge and still be able to push a dry patch thru the bore.
Here's a sampling of what accuracy you can get with Cartridge, but like I said it's best to get a little bit of all of it and see what the rifle likes.
4 rounds, 68 grs Cartridge ww cases and primers, RCBS 82084 530 gr bullet sized .459 lubed with Sagebrush alox. Range 270 yds.
