I took a long drive this weekend by myself had had the raido blasting because I was alone and every song seemed to be a good one. It just brought back some good memories that seemed to have cars involved.
"The Crowd Goes Wild", not sure who sings it but it's a country song. My buddy Luke who passed this fall loved that song and if we were driving when it came on, we'd roll down the windows, crank the radio and he would sing at the top of his lungs. It made me smile and think of him.
"Don't Fear the Reaper"-Blue Oyster Cult. This is one of my favs and it didn't dissapoint. This brought me back to the summer before my seinor year in hs. Sitting around the fire at our party spot, doors on the Bronco open, radio blaring, camp fire going, passing the Jim Beam bottle around just chillin and talking stupid.
"Little GTO" again not sure the band but it brings me to my pa's shop. 50's and 60's tunes are ALL that play on his stereo. Made me want to be with him sanding away on a fender or trunk lid as I have countless times, thinking there have to be better things we could be doing, but now can't think of anything else I'd rather be doing right now be here with him.
It's funny how songs jogged my memory to times when I was doing someting at the time that seemed insignifigant, but now would not trade any of those memories for the world.
