The Nimrod thread got me thinking (since they make a monster fanny pack). My Black Creek Jim Horn fanny pack (that I liked a great deal) pretty much ripped to shreds last year after two-three years of hard hunting. This is in Montana, without a briar in sight... I've also admired the Bison Gear packs (but not their price) and a discontinued Cabela's imitation that was large and low in profile. I've really come to like large fanny packs that can carry a water bladder and a fair amount of stuff for a hard day's hunt and even a reasonably comfortable coyote camp. I don't like the ones with a profile wider than your hips and back, though, since I spend a fair amount of time threading my way through heavy brush with a bow. I bought the Nimrod and will likely cut the outer pockets off it. Does anyone have one they particularly like?

Look no further than the Badlands Monster pack. It's comfortable, well designed, and will carry more than a fanny pack is supposed to. It's also covered by a no BS lifetime warranty if you can manage to tear it apart.
