At a gunshow yesterday I saw a fellow with a nice, apparently old, bolt action Savage in 250-3000. It had a bolt peep and schnable forearm. I would guess the weight at about 7lbs.

What might this have been? He had bought it for $500 and felt pretty pleased about it.

It's possible it was a 1920/26. Not many were made so if it were in good shape he probably did well.

Possibly a model 40 or 45 also--did it have a detachable mag? Steve
