I remember hearing some debate here, as to wether or not 99's came with swivels from the factory a while back. I found this add from 1962, and it shows swivels on the deluxe model, just thought the info might help out.

Murray's says that the 99DL's had sling swivels. Always nice to get additional confirmation though. My 99DL 284..

Wasn't a KV, it was a Weaver K8-1. Fixed 8 power.. and in beautiful shape! Just sold it on eBay a couple weeks ago. Was filthy (like the gun) when I got it, they both cleaned up exceptionally well. And shipping it was a pain, the thing was longer than any scope box I had on hand (longer than a VX-I). Sorry for stealing the thread, Garry. Say, did you pick that up on eBay? I see the pronghorn ads go by, but I tend to buy the older ads.

Nah, you didn't steal the thread, no big deal, and I like looking at the older weaver El Paso scopes. I found that ad on Fleabay, yes, and just thought it might be of interest. Incidentally, I have Savage catalogs from 1967,68,69,71,72,73,74,75,77,78,80, and 90. If it would help you guys, I could scan the pages on the Savage 99 specs and post them on here for you. It's a lot of work, but I'll do it if it will help you out, let me know.
