The water was cold, and full of pollen, no fish biting, few fishermen because of oncoming hail and tornado system, but these to guys near us were fishing close to the bank with the children using nightcrawlers, when this bad boy jumped the hook.

That's a good looking catfish. What state is Lake Wateree in?

Lake Wateree is in rural SC, off I-77, bordering Lancaster, Kershaw and Fairfield counties. It has good bass fishing, good white bass and striped bass, and phenomenal crappie fishing. Catfishing is good there, and is even better for lots of smaller ones in Lake Monticello.

I am going bass fishing for a few hours tomorrow, so maybe I will have some bass pictures.
