Thinking they have a good idea what the SCOTUS decision is gonna be, trying to clean up the streets BEFORE the gun ban is ruled unconstitutional.

Yep, the insolence and breach of oath from LEO's continues to multiply and escalate.

Police should be arresting and incarcerating practicioners of the legal system but they're no longer servants of the people, it would seem, rather just mindless order followers of the other 2 branches of government (that is to say: lawyers).

But all 3 branches are still made up of good patriotic Americans, right? And it's still a free country, right?

I simply cannot fathom anyone letting the police voluntarily search their personal home.
There are limits you know.

Yes, and so can the courts (and they will) as soon as someone (Hello, NRA!?!?) brings a petition for immediate injunction before the District Court. Even though the D.C. District Court won't want to do it, they have to grant the injunction as the D.C. Court of Appeals ruled the ban unconstitutional and the SCOTUS has the case under review.

Stopping this just doesn't seem like near enough..... criminal charges and ends to careers would be a start.

I have been driving for 36 years and have never had my vehicle searched.
Never.
And i damn sure would not voluntarily allow a LEO to go into my personal home like some run away Rhino to sift through what was mine to satisfy his curiosity.
No way!!

Start with jailing whoever gave the order, then work your way down the rest of the jack booted thug chain.... sends a message.
