I'm with Downwind. In B.C. the 30-06 makes a great combination gun for moose and deer. I have two: a M700 and a M70, both are synthetic/stainless. They're useful, rugged, and accurate, and have accounted for more than a few deer, elk, moose, and black bears.
What's not to like?

Never, unless I get a Garand or 1903 Springfield.

Just one - pre-64 FWT in Mickey classic. Still have the wood stock but no buttplate.

None now, and never owned one in the past. It always seemed to me to be a "USA" cartridge, and doesn't have quite the cult following in Canada as it does at "home". I do have four .308's at the moment. - and 25-06 and a couple .35 Whelens. Never even shot a 30-06 at game until a trip to Germany last January, where I was expecting use something like a 7x64 but my host had a Blaser 30-06 for me to borrow. All his buddies used 30-06's as well. I shot a couple of Roe deer and a couple of wild boars with it. Seemed to do the trick.

Just this pig. Might be a pig, but it's a cool pig. Shane, what does she tip the scales at?

I have one, a sporterized Remington made 1917. I would love to own a Garand one day as well.

Here is mine: 670a push feed, original sporter barrel, nestled into a McMillan Featherweight stock, Talley lightweights, Pentax 4x32 (it'll be replaced when my Weaver El Paso K4 gets back, freshly refurbished by Frank Ruiz).

Yes. Custom Ruger M77 and Weatherby Vanguard VGX. I'll probably buy one of the new Marlin bolt guns, I might get the 270 WCF instead though. Gregory

Dave-
Put a Browning in the safe, that'll be a good contraceptive to your gun multiplying.
Now, if you have a 700 in there with a J-Lock, you could be in trouble, genital warts are contagious.
