Yesterday was stormy and wet. The birds weren't very vocal it's still early the toms are more interested in fighting then hens.
Which was just as well my fletching were soaked from the constant line of thunder storms rolling through.
Today the wind was howling and the birds weren't talking. In fact I never seen or heard one until late afternoon they came right up to the cabin 20 feet from the porch where I sat drinking my coffee visiting with my friends who own the property. His wife always says just sit here and shoot one they are always coming up to feed. They have a feeder in the front yard and all through the day deer and turkey are passing through. But some how shooting them like that don't seem right. I've been birdless for 3 years now since I taken to using a bow.The shotgun got to be to easy. Last year I did bag 2 coyotes with the bow They were sneaking up on my decoys. But tomorrow it's back to work for 7 days then a 3 day weekend. I may go over east and check out some Easterns these Rios aren't ready yet.

I fully understand, turkey aren't cooperative in a rainstorm. We've had the same conditions on and off for the past two weeks, and will be getting storms tomorrow and this weekend.

I know it, it sucks. The N'ville weather people are calling for rain this weekend, with colder temp's, calling for a frost this weekend. The same report out of Huntsville.
