Has anyone heard how those limited hunts from Jan 1 to march 31 went?
Any elk killed?
Any good bulls killed?

Was kinda thinking about those hunts.
I had a 4a/4b tag last year around joseph city and thought it could be a good hunt if I had more time.
With the extension of the hunt area south, I figured that 4a/4b tag would be ok for meat hunting especially in Agust and September. If the snow gets bad up high again this year, maybe the later hunts would do ok too.

Anyways just curious how they have been going and if anyone has heard of any success.

I heard they killed about 4 near Alamo, and a few near Winslow. There have been some problems near Winslow with cut fences, trespassing, and hunting outside the boundaries. I do not know what has happened around Camp Verde.

A guy from work took his son up to 4A/B in January and his son got his first bull, a 6x6. Not a huge bull, but a first bull for a youngster is always special.

Yeah I heard the Camp Verde bull was a beast. Might have heard a youngster possibly a girl dropped it too, but could be confusing that with another.

I have heard of two nice bulls in the Joe City area. One supposedly close to 400 but darn few others.

I haven't been a resident in AZ for a couple of years, hope to move back soon. I am taking care of my parents which is a priority to me right now. I did get 2 big bulls over in Happy Jack a couple of years ago though. I wanted to hunt Alpine but I couldn't get a tag on a bet.
