Finally after three unsuccessful trips I was able to harvest my first turkeys. Both had 11" beards and one had 1 1/4" spurs and the other had 1" spurs. It looks if I would have officially weighed my bird I would have had the # 2 Rio in Oregon. What an awesome trip!! I'm definitely addicted to turkey hunting now.
Pics to follow in a couple of days.

Skunked on your first three trips and then kill two hogs on the fourth? Pretty good start to your turkey hunting! Nice going and congrats.

Don't hose us on the pics! Get 'em up.

Ken,
I was taught that by my father when I first began hunting.
Thanks,

That's great, i remember in the 70's the only place in WA to hunt Turkeys was in Klikatat Co. East of Goldendale. It was interesting to see them progress, all over the state to the wetside even, with Turkey's on the home place in Cowlitz Co. I don't know about Turkeys in OR. what county were you hunting in?
