Thanks. I haden't been to China-Mart in months but I stopped in to check the price. It was there. The cheapest I could get any bulk 22 ammo elsewhere in the area was $19.95; some went to nearly $30.

Here in Austin the Federal550 pack was 11.97. I picked up 3 boxes.
My Sako Quad and Colt/Marvel 1 eat this stuff up. Much cheaper and just as accurate as mini-mags. Excellent ammo.
I will probably pick up another 2 or three boxes.

I never feel bad stock-piling 22lr when I come across a good deal like this..... Especially when it shoots as well as this stuff does!! Thanks Denton....

Denton: I also picked up 6 cartons of this Federal bulk pack ammo over the last 2 months! It shoots pretty well in 3 of my Ruger 10/22's and is very lethal on Ground Squirrels and similar smaller Varmints. Unfortunately my two ultra accurate bolt action heavy barrel 22's (Kimber M-22 H/S & Remington 40X) that I use for Gophering duties do not like this stuff! They both prefer the Winchester Power-Points and like Avagadro posted its much pricier than the Federal stuff! I have enough ammo from this recent purchase and from prior purchases of the Federal stuff (for as low as $8.49 a carton) to last me for this season and most of next. Since my "guv'mint check" got here yesterday I may just buy 4 or 5 more cartons. Who knows how much ammo will be next year? When I asked the sport counter clerk at Wal-Mart if the price of $11.97 on the Federal ammo was a sale price she replied "no - that is the new regular price". So maybe at some future time this stuff will be even cheaper? Hold into the wind VarmintGuy

Thanks for the tip. This is the first time I've actually got there while the sale was on and they weren't sold out. Cut it close though. I got the last two boxes.

I picked up two more today. I think they are just metering it out so more people get a chance at it. Fair enough I guess. I've missed most of the previous sales.

Avagardo,
Whoa! $34 for a brick of Win powerpoints! glad I'd bought 3 bricks back before they had shortages. I think they ran $17/brick, while Wolf MT ran $27/brick. Glad I stocked up when I did.
