Okay, working on pitching with kids (8 and 9) and want to show them the good and bad of their mechanics during practice. I have a Canon SD870 that shoots .avi video pretty easily. The multiple "continuous" photo is too slow to capture the kids full pitch, so I think I'm stuck with the .avi - which isn't bad, but the question is, what is the absolute simplest way to pull 5-10 still photos from the .avi file? I need to freeze it at certain points of the pitch and print the stills, and obviously show the kids - I want to be able to give them prints to take home each week.
Not sure if I can do this in the standard Windows Media Player or not; really don't want to purchase a special application or take the time to learn it now if there is a simple way. Thanks in advance!
