I have a 1949 model 99 RS in the 300 caliber. It has a rear aperture Redfield site and is in good shape. I was curious as to the value because I may have to sell it.
Thank you!

Hello Mike, the gun is hundred percent original and I would say it is 97% condition wise. I'm going to try and post pictures later this evening. I just have not seen many of these around that were 100% original with the rear aperture setting.
In fact, I would like to know how many of these RS postwar savages 99 models were made.

m219, doubt that anybody has counts as to how many were produced. And pricing for a 99RS is all over the board, depending on who's selling it and what condition it's in. If you're really interested in selling it, I'd suggest one of the internet auction sites.. or look around, figure out what you want for it and post it in the classifieds forum on the Campfire.
Looking forward to the pics.
And welcome to the campfire!

Thanks everybody! Now I have to figure out how to put the pictures on here. Can anyone assist me? Or maybe I could send the pictures to one of you members and you can post them if you know how? Either way if someone would let me know I would appreciate it!
Thanks, Neal

And just so you know Neal, the rifle is an"EG" model, not an "RS". But a nice rifle either way!!!
