Does anyone know the strength of these actions? What it is?

I have been told that a 1432 (or was it 1732?) was chambered in 222. The 14xx series are supposed to be the 'budget' model 22lr's. I have a budget model and there is no resemblance.

I get best accuracy and performance using heavy bullets at fairly high pressures (hopefully not exceeding SAAMI pressure). I did not get case elongation until I used the wrong bullet/powder combo. Even then, there were no other signs of excess pressure but the primer was less rounded at the edges than I am comfortable with. (All remaining 'hot' loads have been dismantled).

(This question has also been posted on another forum).

Well, I have been able to download the operating manuals for a series of Anschutz rifles but not the 1432/32. I now know that the 1432 was chambered in 222 and that the bolt appears the same as mine but mine is definately shorter - hornet length.

Hi

I have seen these rifles here in Sweden. The ones I have seen at the range shot well, but I cannot judge how strong the action is.

In general however, the Germans do not make rifles without an adequate safety margin. Also, government standards are quite demanding. I don't think you have the safety margin of a Rem 700, but unless you have gone way over the top I would think that you are OK.

I have the manual you want, but it is in German. However, there are so many pictures that it would still be useful for you to have.

If you want the manual, send me an email (look at my profile or send me a private message with your email) and I can email it to you.

Note that the manual is about 2meg so make sure your email can receive this.

John
