OP galah2000 New Member G Joined: Oct 2007 Posts: 10 Australia	What is the best way to remove the stain from an old gunstock without damaging it? I've reluctantly tried oven cleaner which seems to get it out pretty quick but appears to leave a powdering white film on the stock after a while. I'm located in Australia so a lot of your US products won't be available here. Regards Mick

I wash the wood down real good with actetone before I start refinishing it. Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G.I.
