The health and vigor of that animal sure is impressive, eh? A lot of elk with big horns don't look like "food" to me that that boy sure does!
'Course he might not by the end of the rut <G>.

I've seen those pics before but always enjoy them.
Look at the wake that big boy is leaving in the first couple pics... I swim 2-3 miles a week and bet that guy would win every race...

Like some others, I had seen those pictures before too and it was written that the pics had been taken on Coeur d'Alene Lake in northern Idaho. Nice bull regardless of where they were taken.

Obviously a shooter, but how big? Is that a 350 bull?

I'd say pretty darn close if not. Kind of hard to tell height and width without a frame of reference, but it looks nearly perfect on both sides which will certainly help the score.

Sorry i didn't get on here earlier. Long day at work. I'm glad you folks like the pics.
I got them from some friends at work who got them from someone who claimed to have taken them.
I never know about that.
It does look like a local Oregon lake and it is a nice bull and that was all I really wanted to show.
He doesn't look extra big but I would sure keep him. He is exceptionally even, etc.
I have seen only one in the field that was appreciably larger for antler size. I have seen several I would guess were heavier in the body.
I was impressed how steady he appeared leaving the water after the swim also.
