So in the night my loving wife punched me in her sleep. Now I know what some of you are thinking, but I know she was asleep for certain
I woke up a bit, and turned over facing her in the middle of the night. I was half asleep again when all the sudden she clocks me in the left jaw, and then grabs onto my chek with some kind of crazy monkey clawlike kung fu type grip. I grabbed her wrist and yanked my face free on the clutch, and screamed "What the funyun(not quite the word) are you doing?". She was freaked out big time seems she was having a dream someone was after her, and my turning over set something off.
She feels terrible. I, on the other hand think its hilarious, and plan on never letting her live this one down.

Just thought I would share my little excitment lately. It was certainly a new one for me, and her.

Make sure she doesn't have any scissors in the night stand!

Great comic relief at a long day of work.

This was in her sleep- you wait till you make her mad when shes awake

I'd lock up the cutlery until she's over this.

Been there done that.


Now I am just teasing her about me living with Clubber Lange.

Another argument for not letting her sleep with a pistol under the pillow.

Yeah the good news that the "bump in the night" gun is on my side.

This reminds me of something similar I did to my wife a number of years ago.

I had been reading 'Battle Cry' by Leon Uris before we retired for the night.

Sometime during the night, I guess I started dreaming. Apparently, I grabbed her by the front of her nighty and hauled her over top of me onto the floor on my side with me landing on top of her - all the while screaming "Hit the trenches, Hit the trenches".

She still mentions the incident now and again.

early in my marriage to Giles, I was awakened by a left hook that nicked my chin Scared the crap out of me I am thinking I have married a loony midnight wife beater. No, so apologic and repentive It seems that his kid brother Michael had pizzed him off and needed a left hook now I was worried cause he's dreamin about his kid brother Me thought it was to be a very iteresting marriage yep, 17 years later still can be ever so strange (in many wonderful ways) but no more midnight boxing LOL

Lets just say Punchy owes me big time.

Maybe a trail of documents around the house defining things like statute of limitations and such?

Actually there may be a problem... Abused spouses seldom get the picture and leave so if you have her charged and arrested she can no longer live in a house with firearms...

I just feel so ashamed

My grandfather on my mothers side punched grandma in the eye one night while sleeping. I can still remember the shiner she had a real dozy.

I am just glad she wasn't wearing any of her rings, and that she doesn't exactly hit very hard either.

My dad told me that in their early years of marriage, one time Mom sat up in bed, wide awake, and glared at him. She'd had a dream about him having a fling with another woman. She snarled at him and said 'It wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't been in the back seat!'

Monkey claw kung foo?

I thought this was a lost art.

There's always a silver lining..... At least she hadn't watched that Patrick Swayze show where he rips his opponents throat out with a "monkey claw" judo move.

Years ago, when I was still running the rodeo circuit I had a dream that I was riding a rank bronc. In my dream I was really putting on a good spur ride, but everytime I set my feet my right toe hurt like the dickens. On the last aggresive jump I really laid the spurs to the ole nag. The pain in my toe woke me up to a hole in the wall and a broken big toe!

Sounds like you'll be getting a lot of mileage out of that.

I think that's at least worth a new rifle.
