They get the raghorn rep because most of them are hunted in Oregon with over the counter tags. A few Oregon units are being managed for larger bulls and it's starting to work.

Cool pic..
I've killed my share of Roosevelt's and have seen many more bulls not on the ground........that one is a keeper.
Whoever said that "Roosevelts are all raghorns" is not worthy of listening to.
Thanks for the pic.........

I have seen some really big rag horns over the years But that is nice bull although sounds like all us Oregon and Washinton hunters would have to pass that dink rag horn not
If there is any proof of a man in a hunt it is not whether he killed a deer or elk but how he hunted it.

Seems we're all gonna have to pass on that particular big boy. If I were him, I'd stay in the confines of that no shooting zone as well.
Food, girls, nobodies after me and I'm the biggest, baddest dude in the bunch.............heaven.

He snapped the photo on leave in early March. I would love to have picked up those sheds.

ehunter - my wife knows me all too well, like I said, 32 years worth.......grin.
I miss being at work sometimes, very seldom actually. The parts I do miss were the "guy" parts. Every morning, inevitably one of us would walk down the hall and say, "married life, there's nothing like it". We'd all laugh and stayed the hell away from him the rest of the day. I must admit however, my wife has many more valid complaints than I do......'course, I'd never tell her so.
Trust me, they joke the same way about us. I think they're joking......?
