Anyone ever tried H380 in the 35 whelen with 250 gr bullets? It's a bit slower than Re 15 and IMR 4320 and should be close to the perfect burn rate. Hodgdon lists loads up to 59.0 gr at 44,500 CUP and COL of 3.22 for 2415 ft/sec. It would seem that 61 or 62 grains under a 250 gr bullet seated to 3.34 would be under the SAAMI of 52,000 CUP and may provide good velocity.

Just wondering - have the H380 and have had good luck with it in other cases. Plus its raining and I'm still in hunting mode with nothing to hunt <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Adversity doesn't build character, it reveals it.
