About $300 to go from Enumclaw, WA to Union, OR and back.
It also used to be half that. Elk tags used to be cheaper too. That's life.

Somewhere in the vicinity of $1000. Probably on the + side of the $1000 now that many gas stations are using up to 10 % ethanol. Will likely reduce the mpg a bit.

I believe it will be about $200-225 for each trip. I usually make 3-4 trips a to the camp a year but due to fuel costs and not so great health of the land owner I think it will be one stand tune up weekend and then the hunt.

From Ocala, Florida to Montana and driving while there, 6000 miles. 17mpg at best. Gas at 4.25 by then if we're lucky. about $1500. Two of us going so halve it to $750 each. This will be six years in a row, and likely the last. Only one was a guided hunt so we have been very fortunate to be drawn so many times.

I go from Maryland to Wyoming for deer and antelope, and then to Colorado for deer and elk. I can figure out the mileage, and thus the cost fairly accurately, but that is the last thing I want to do. The trip is much too important to me to have it diminished by the cost of the trip. Whatever it is, is what it will be. I plan to enjoy the hunts to the fullest. That is what is important to me.

Well, last year it took me $100. This year going to about the same place, it will be $250. Don't know as how I could keep up with some of you.

Airfare is often cheaper for some.
Often times, I just ship my gear and rifle ahead, catch the flight with merely an overnight bag and rent a SUV at the airport. same for the way home! It's what I did for Montana, Wyoming and New Mexico. Shipping meat home was a financial bich, though.

I expect the backyard to sprout houses this year , so I will hunt the frontyard. Cost of gas $000.00.

Its hard for me to figure out the cost of the longest hunting trip because so much of our hunting involves being out in the woods long before the season starts, and a lot of short duration trips and long weekends plus a week somewhere if work doesnt interfere. Its 180 mile roundtrip to the cabin in the deer/elk area, about a 220 mile roundtrip to my favorite spot (60 round trip from the cabin), a 260 mile roundtrip to the antelope area. It looks cheap at first glance, but theres also a lot of running around on a daily basis to see whats over there. Ill probably put about 5000 miles on the truck from June 1 to mid-November, and 1500 pre-season on the ATV, so Im at about $1,600 for the whole season at $4.00 a gallon. All that time were in the woods, were not eating at restaurants, not going to the movies, not buying toys, not going to concerts, etc., and we fill the freezer with a years supply of meat in a 6 week period. It saves us a LOT of money.
