Dad's got a 110 Savage in 7mm that he used to shoot all the time, but now he's gettin older, he favors the weight of his Winchester fwt 6mm. The last couple years the 6mm is all he'll hunt with anymore cause its lighter. The Savage has the old plain jane wood stock. Could you guys recommend a synthetic I can drop in for him? Nothin too gaudy, hes old fashioned and partial to wood but does like camo synthetic stocks. If you could point me in the right direction I sure would appreciate it. Thanks!

3/4 Forstner bit. Drill 1/4 pilot 8-10" Run two, then chase with the forstner. Go overboard floating the barrel, not wider than the barrel but deeper. You can take one pound off that wood stock! Do it all the time. Recoil will increase!
edit: remove butt pad...lighten up back end like they do with shotguns and double guns..forgot to add that
Cage-Divorce Deathmatch Survivor and Lib antagonist. Stock maker by sheer luck.
