It was about 75 when the Sugar Bowl started, down to about 45 tonight. Got so hot here it's about stopped the rut

I took 'em off long enough to run a couple miles, soaked in the tub and bolted them back on.
Though I could try and spin you a yarn about how I wish I was at work, you'd likely see right through it.
Retirement is gonna suit me fine....................(grin)

It was -38 Celsius at our house at 5:00A.M. this morning. I finally put my long handles on and glad of it. Supposed to warm in a day or three and give us another dump of snow. I should be in 'Bama hunting deer in my tutu along with the prom queen I think.

2 below in Kansas at 1:30 am. Thankfuly no wind or it would hurt. The only jogging around here is from the truck to the house, even then if you suck in too hard you will be coughing up a lung in chunks.

Staying home from work today, the county shut down the offices, It's snowing like crazy out there and the waco drivers are doing the agracultural driving bit, off the pavement into the dirt. The temps have havered around 23-26 degrees for the past week. This is highly unusual for around here. Gonna go out if it clears off and do a little track viewing on the back roads, take pictures of little amd hopefully biger varmit feets prints in the snow. Could be do a little crow shooting with the 22-250. Nice thing about this weather is that it kills off a lot of next summers bugs.

Got around 15 here last night, but my elk hunting haunts are catching heck this morning. The site of the Shooterslam for elk was -31 this morning, Pendleton is -21 (Stay warm Mr. SS), and other areas of the NE Oregon area are all well below 0 F. Hope it thaws out by next elk season! But it sure would make the hunting easier if the Elk were frozen in place! - Sheister

Bunch of wussies, it was -44 here yesterday. I haven't checked this morning yet but it's not a lot warmer. In case you don't know jump starting a mini van in that kind of weather isn't particularly fun. I'm not sure my finger have thawed out yet.
Is it Friday yet?

Big Sky,
Thanks for the update. I about half had made my mind up to try a run up to Glascow tomorrow, but now I think I will need a better weather window, maybe something like July

Ah, you guys dont know cold from shinola.
Why, last night it was so cold, my teeth were chattering in the glass!
It was so cold, when we milked the cows we got ice cream. When we milked the brown cows, we got chocolate ice cream!
It was so cold, the snowflakes froze in the air. Birds hopped from one snowflake to another to get into the trees.
It was so cold, we had to kick a hole in the air just to get outside.
And finally, it was SO cold, the politicians had their hands in their OWN pockets! Now thats cold!
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!
