Boondock: I'm south of you in the Puddle. It was quite snappy here. It's eased off today and starting to snow. About -19 degrees today. We were one of the colder spots in the province the last couple of days. Wonder what it was out Puntzi Mtn. and Anahim way? They are frequently a few degrees less than here. Best

Are those temps you gave before or after the wind chill? I know you get some nasty winds down there and if that is -38 before the wind chill factor all I can say is holy sh*t that must be cold. But it could be worse we could be down in the lower mainland with all the wet snow and the million+ drivers who have no idea how to drive in winter conditions.

Boondock;
My max/min thermometer is in a sheltered area but there was no wind to speak of in any event. We are also on the shady side of the valley so it is usually a bit colder than lakeside or airport temps. It's warming fast and the forecast I just watched is predicting -2 tomorrow. That probably means it's going to keep snowing. I'd rather have the cold, but, we do need the snowpack as a lot of wetlands dried up last year.

Twenty-four below here this morning. Cold all day. I stayed inside all day and listened to my teeth.

Jim - "It was so cold, the snowflakes froze in the air."
No kidding. We had snowflakes the size of Christmas cookies in McCall the other day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> And then it snowed so hard the visibility was down to zero for hours.
Finally! A real winter! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

+6 this morning, wind blowing @ 30 to 45 MPH.
Guess who went hunting <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />?
Not long though. Too cold to stand, to crackly for sneaking into flitlock range. 7mm
