Hey everyone, I have been looking for a comb riser/cheek pad to get better alignment with my scope. I have high leupold rings on my guide gun right now, and dont have a strong enough cheek weld as I like.

Does anyone use a cheek pad/ Comb riser?

Which One?

Thanks,

FMP

I would go with a traditional-looking leather one (not a neoprene one) on that rifle.

Cabelas has a good one: Leather Comb Raiser

I've put several on the rifles of friends. Well made, no complaints and it you can unlace the leather to remove it (no adhesives).

I have one of his Butt Stock Covers (with bullet loops), Rifle sling, cartridge pouch and he made me a very nice knife case to replace one my youngest son lost.
All very nice work very nice. He can make them simple (like mine)or fancy your choice.
He is also a very nice guy.
I know he makes a leather comb riser who knows maybe he can add bullet loops.

Temmi, I don't mean to question your choice of scopes, but you must be using a very big scope to need high scope rings. Have you given any though to trying a compact scope like a Leupold VX-II 1-4X, VX-III 1.5-5X, old Weaver 2.5X or similar. I have found that they are just about ideal for my Marlin 45-70 rifles. You can mount them nice and low. They dont ruin the great handling qualities of a handy levergun. And, they eliminate the need for a stock riser. It is just a thought. No offense intended.

TnBigBore,

Sorry for the confusion
I have a set of Brockman receiver sights, which I recommend highly, so I dont need a comb riser/cheek pad.
I was only commenting on the Cabelas model which looked nice and then Leverguns (http://www.levergunleather.com/) product which I do not have his cheek pad, only his Rifle sling and buttscock cover with bullet loops.
I just cant bring myself to put a scope on a lever gun.

I have one of Lever's slings and a buttstock cuff/cartridge carrier for my 1895. Very high quality stuff.

Temmi and elkhunter76,
You two are too kind. Thanks for the kind words.

Temmi,
Yes, I make cheek rests with bullet loops.
