While traveling the NYS Thruway yesterday in a driving downpour, I met several motorcycles. All riders were dressed in full rain gear. It struck me that maybe these guys are the ones to quiz about rain gear. If they can find something that keeps them dry while riding 60+ mph in a downpour, then it should surely keep us hunters try. Of course we also look for light weight breathabilty. Anybody know any bikers????

I am a biker and most I know wear Walmart rain gear or Frogg Toggs. Acerbis makes nice stuff, but pricey and noisy. Seek elsewhere. I actually use some of my hunting rain gear and for colder weather the suit has goretex.
Good Shooting!

I, too, like Frogg Toggs, but I don't think they are very tough. When my son advanced to the point where he was wearing tans, I bought him a set of Frogg Toggs for use on the flight line. He said they just eren't tough enough for everyday work use.
Back when I was still riding, my raingear was a set of "tunnel-muckers"....definitely wind/waterproof but way to heavy/hot for hunting.
