It's a Komatsu D65P (LGP). We coulda rounded up more chain, cabel, & straps, if we needed I guess. Gettin stuck is kinda second nature with all of the swamp around here. ND just happened to setup camp in the middle of Minnesota's armpit! (I do love it out there) Just another day on the job & everyone has been there at some point so we are all glad to help. Specially if a little good-natured ribbing & some barley pop is involved.

arm pit...naw I like it up there. Well, at least as far as I've been. never been up quite that far northwest. Plenty of swamps on the iron range, but they are the boggy, mucky type. There is water underneith but it's real muddy gumbo. bad enough to get a wheeler out, couldn't imagine getting a tractor out of it.

I had my stepson out there helping with the unsticking of lil blue. As we were on the long quiet drive home I nudged him with my elbow & asked him if he learned any lessons today. "Yep" he replied. After a few seconds I asked "What was that?" Without hesitation he said "Don't let Pam drive the wheeler on the trails." I just about went in the ditch laughing.

Twisted That is hysterical! Man poor Mrs ND is getting it from all angles. The other day over an email she made reference that the Wood Spirit wasn't doing its job delivering luck. I said "it wasn't the wood spirit that got the 4 wheeler stuck" I'm not quite sure she found the humor in that. Sorry Pam. We wouldn't give ya so much greif if we didn't love ya!

Well maybe a platoon of seabee's, a skyhook, and an amphibious recovery vehicle would help.
Alright Craig spill what is the story.

Geez Craig,
If you're gonna "drive it like you stole it" up here you need to leave the vehicle on dry land so you can burn it when you're done.
Some people will never learn ...

from the looks of the pictures, there would be a bridge of iron through the swamp. with all the equipment burried to the roof you'd be able to drive a truck back there then.
