Charlie Sisk is here in TX as well. I would highly recomend him for your hunting rifle needs.

Of cousre for "Tactical" rifle needs, I would reccomend HD Rifles

I use Speedy Gonzales at SG&Y rifles, also. He is one of the best benchrest gunsmiths in the country. He also does excellent work on hunting rifles. I've just never figured out where he got the nickname "Speedy." Somewhat like the fat Texan named "Slim." I accuse him of holding my rifles hostage.

Another vote for Hill Country Rifles in New Braunfels. In case you didn't see it, they had a beautiful piece of work on the cover of the January 2004 "Rifle" as well as a write-up in the magazine.

Oh, never mind. You wanted "good." Well, these guys are "great."

Good luck,

I was at a gunshow in Belton Saturday and met Jim Myers, who had a bunch of his stuff on display. Seemed to be a good guy, and his work looked like top shelf stuff. Does a lot of benchrest type stuff, but had some awesome looking hunting rifles with him as well. He has just relocated from the Houston area to Killeen. His number is 254-554-7217. His prices are very reasonable. Might be worth calling him.
