These guys have a camera hooked up to a rifle so you can actually shoot game from your computer. Texas game ranches have reached an all time High tech level of insanity! They even butcher the meat and send it to you along with a DVD of your "hunt". I'm nearly speachless from what I have just seen. Is this even a real website?

This is truly insane. If the tree-huggers and even the "general" media get a hold of this, it'll bring incredible bad press to our sport. Hack, have you tried to contact these people? I HOPE they don't last long. jorge

I have no doubt there is a market niche that this will fill. Picture some guy in downtown New York City, stuck in his office and having a particularly bad day. Suddenly he's offered a chance to go kill a trophy black buck and he doesn't even have to leave his desk. No flight schedule hassles or airlines tickets, no time loss-time for missing work, no wife b*tching about being gone hunting too much. Then again there's no meeting new people, seeing new places, breathing the air, running your hands over the animals hide or horns after the kill, no chill in the air, no "real" experience. However for many the "kill" is enough and for those folks this exotic cyber-hunt will do nicely for them. Not my sort of thing, but I can certainly see it working for some people.

Can I send them my hand loaded computer in the proper caliber to make a clean harvest possible?

What caliber computer would be needed to insure a clean kill on say, a Gemsbok or a wild pig?

Sounds like this is a single shot affair, wonder what follow-up shots cost?

Are these guys serious?- Sheister

What are you talking about Jorge? That kind of "hunting" is right up your alley. Makes about as much sense as you owning a "bear" ranch that you have never hunted on. Sign up and get you a big one from your arm chair! Flinch

What about the HUNTING part? How do they get the computerized rifle near the game? Probably tie the game up or put it in a barnyard.

Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

I could really go for this....ONLY if they have a Sisk rifle set up with that camera. At $1000 a shot I want to the best and most accurate rifle available!

Think about it, now I don't have to drive out to the game ranch and climb up one of those towers and shoot an animal standing at a feeder. I can be at work and just log on!
Do you think I should wear my cammies while "hunting" like this? I would think it would kinda of get you in the mood of things. I think face paint would help out to.

I wonder what the Texas Parks and wildlife would think about this? I am guessing that they are not going to be happy with this. tom

Absolutely disgusting! If true it takes the "canned" hunt to a new low. To reduce the hunting experience to a computer game killing is one of the most disrespectful treatment of game animals imaginable.

I see this a a scam of the highest order. Think of it. A guy is surfing a web site - he thinks he's looking at live pictures, but in reality he is not. He thinks he's bagged a deer and orders his "trophy" to be mounted and sent to him. Several months later he gets a mounted head and thinks it happened just that way.

You can order, from Bass Pro shops, a mounted deer head, you just have to provide the demensions of the rack. There may be other firms that will do that as well.

This may be nothing more than a scam to make someone think they have "cyber hunted" and bagged a deer, but really someone simply ordered a "trophy head" and sold to them at a much higher price, because after all, they bagged it while "hunting". I think it stinks .......... but thats just my opinion.

Flinch, I've tried to avoid your sophomoric tantrums, but lest the self appointed "neighborhood bully' continue, you are a bag of wind attached to a mouse and keyboard and an ignorant one at that. About all you're good for is beating your own LIMITED drum of experience and insulting people through the safety of the internet when they disagree with you. Well... "Flinch", you're only kidding yourself. You're not going to fool any of the rest of us that portend even a modicum of knowledge, except for those who speculate from a standpoint of unfamiliarity - not of actual comparative experience.

Here's another hint for you: This is a FORUM, where myriad ideas are agreed--and disagreed upon and personally, I don't care what your preferrences are, and as far as I'm concerned, you can proffer all your self-effacing knowledge you want but when you're displeasure with my opinions results in a concerted effort to discredit me, personally, you've crossed a line that you only dare to cross while hiding behind a computer screen.

More importantly, what you need to get through that child-like, young head of yours AGAIN is the fact that this is a FORUM. A FORUM in which guys argue all the live-long day about rifles, scopes, cartridges, hunting proceedures, optics, etc.

Disagreements are common (unless that aspect of this game has flown so high over your head that you've missed its passing) and believe it or not, some guys like rifles, bullets that you find wanting. We're all individuals here, and disagreements are entirely acceptable.

Where you fail miserably and where you need to rethink your abrasive, insulting, twelve-year-old attitude is in the fact that there are gents like me around here who simply don't care to own or hunt with your pet brand of rifle, bullet, scope or underwear . Been there, tried that, and would rather use something else. I'll continue to post here, but more importantly I'll continue TO LEARN HERE regardless of your shrill, insulting objections. If you've been paying any atttention to this and related threads, there are a number of guys who feel the same way as I do, and who have also seen through your rants.

Get real! What are your going to do? Vociferously denounce anyone who doesn't agree with your interpretations? If that's the only way you can disagree you have a long way to goto grow up. jorge

Insane, yes, bad, yes, but how can you be so surprised?

In an age where technology is minimizing the need for skill and diminishing the experience by leaps and bounds, what did you think? I've predicted this many times, before, and said as much on shooters.com. It is the logical next step after laser rangefinders, and electronic optics and all the rest.

Welcome to the future.

Yeah and he's also wearing a carbon lined scent free suit! Maybe so he can fart in his office and not offend the person in the next cubicle.

Think of the savings in these cyber-hunts! No more big outlays
on travel, rifles & hunting gear, ... More left for the important
things in life like sending your son and heir to pre-school at
Harvard, moving up to that luxury-strip Moorish castle you've always
wanted, and getting that second Hummer for the little lady...

What's the difference from the high dollar, high-fence, "hunts"
-- I prefer 'shoots" -- that are so pre-managed that the
guide all but pulls the trigger for you.

As we used to say in the Army "xxxx-ing Americans"!

I noticed in the FAQs section of the website, that it's the 'guide/safety' who takes any needed follow up shot.

It may become very popular with the long range 'shooting' crowd, as it's the ultimate in long range!
