Up for auction is my .243 Mauser built on a WWII k98 action. This custom rifle was made in the early 60's. Check out the pictures & see for yourself - this baby rocks! The scope is a nice old school Leupold 4x with fine cross hairs. I bought this rifle to rebarrel to 6.5x55 but I just can't bring myself to do it. I took her to my gunsmith & said: "Here ya go Fred. Put a 6.5x55 barrel on her for me." He told me to go shoot it first. So I stopped by Wal-Mart on the way to the range & bought a box of ammo. I zeroed her @ 25 yards & then shot a 7/8" shot group with the first 3 shots @ 100 yards! I'm telling you - this thing can shoot (imagine what it could do with handloads)!
So now I'm having a custom 7x57 made for me & need some additional funding. New guns ain't cheap & new custom guns ain't cheap either.

If I am not mistaken this rifle was made in 1961 - way before some of our times. Rest assured - this rifle is a tack driver, period! In your wildest dreams you couldn't pay a gunsmith to put something like this together for under $1000. Leupold scope, custom stock, hinged floorplate, timney trigger, bent bolt, & heavy barrel as well! My price to you is $699 shipped to your FFL. You will not find anything like this at Wal-Mart, trust me..
Trades? Not really looking for anything but you never know, PM or E-mail me. I'll answer any questions or offers, but a posted "I'll take it" on this thread trumps any tire kicking! Need more pictures? Ask!
