Read the reviews on Midway and it's a mixed bag, at best...
What's everyone using?

Reviews say the RCBS is the worst for bustin' pins, hard to align cases in the center, ect...

+1 on RCBS but I figure they'll all do the job. I wouldn't do without one.

Has not been my experience; Matter of fact,I cannot remember breaking one!You just gotta be a bit careful, yes. It is really a very simple tool to use.Someone with your loading experience will have no issues.

Probably from the same folks that need velcro on their shoes, or 20 rounds to get 1 shot on paper at 100 yards.
Lots folks out their more than happy to post how stupid they are..

I have used RCBS for about 60 years and have not had one single complaint so far...I may have broke a pin or two in that time, but I can't recall it..I always have an extra pin or two but never use them as I don't break them. They break when you let them get loose, duh!
I see no need for decapping dies, that is just another expense, and I have never had a problem decapping in a std. die while resizing a case. You just have to set the die properly. I do this by setting the die to resize like I want it, then screw the pin down a half turn at a time until the primer just drops out and then stop there...

Some like to decap and clean their brass before running it into the sizing die.

I too like clean smooth brass going into my dies. I guarantee my brass prep would be too OC for some here, but for me it's part of the fun.

I have a dedicated decapping station and decapping press. For that a Lee Universal decapper & Lee Cast Iron Press combination is supreme with that straight thru ejection of spent primers. Just the best system - Redding pretty good but has that kink at the end. I don't decap whilst sizing anymore and so I can move the button higher up - when I do use the button.
Only problem with the Lee is that it does not do .17 - (it will just do .20 cal but sometimes its a tight fit) so for that I bought the Redding Universal decapper but if Lee made one I'd get that. So much cheaper and works perfectly.
Oh another gripe with Lee - I hate their O ring lock nuts so I just substituted it with a spare from some other dies. I use a Forster Co-Ax for my resizing so I had plenty of spares.

Reviews say the RCBS is the worst for bustin' pins, hard to align cases in the center, ect... Won't happen if you follow he set up instructions. I, being a guy, didn't need no stinking instructions and broke a pin on my first batch of 45 ACP. It came with a spare, I read the directions and haven't had an issue in the following years. Just to have a spare I wrote RCBS and they sent me a couple spares free.

The Lee De Capping die is cheap and works for me. Bought my 1st one back in the late 80s never broke a pin on it. I ended up buying a newer Lee De Cap a couple years ago because the old one would not fit WSM, RUM. The newer Lee has a bigger ID so they can be used on WSM ect.
