If you're looking for a .243 that absolutely kicks butt - this is it. Built on a WWII German k98 action, custom adjustable trigger, hinged floorplate, custom stock, & an old school Leupold 4x scope to boot (the scope has very fine cross hairs). I bought this rifle last year for deer hunting but the reality is that this rifle doesn't suit the type of hunting in my area - I'm needing more of a brush type gun & this baby is suited for... maybe you? I am asking $699 shipped - but wait. You could not have this rifle built for exactly like this for under $1000 - no way. Look at the pictures & let them tell you the story. If you need more pictures just ask - I'll get them.If you have questions post them here, PM, or e-mail me - I'll answer any questions. When I first got this rifle I took her to the range. I zeroed her in 6 shots @ 25 yards - then went to 100 yards. At 100 yards, my first 3 shots measured 7/8" (I still have the target), & that was with ammo purchased at Wal-Mart on the way to the range. Imagine what she could do with handloads. The only reason I am selling this is because I need the funds to complete my custom 7x57 that I am having built for me.The pictures do not do her justice. $699 shipped to you in a plastic hard case. Standard 3 day non-firing inspection applies, if you're not happy just ship her back (insured) for a full refund! This rifle needs a good home! I'll consider any offers and/or trades. However the first I'll take it posted here, on this forum trumps any tire kickers (that's only fair). $699 shipped to your FFL - unconditional money back guarantee!

But wait, order before midnight tonight and we'll send you (via Lee24) a NEW M70 in 375 H&H...... However ... we do NOT have pictures of Lee24, a NEW M70 in 375 H&H, and his dead SCI #1 Yeti ... NOR do we have pictures of him, with or without a rusted out Savage 110 30-06, with or without a dead (or alive or *wishing it was back in Richard Gere* rodent of any variety ...) After all, even used car dealers have some advertising ethics. (bump for providing a forum for a rant) (back to your regular 24HCF programming ...) GE

Twist rate - uh..not sure but I'll find out this weekend. I'm shooting Winchester 100gr Powerpoints, courtesy of Wal-Mart.
Seriously guys - this rifle rocks! I'll post pictures of the target tomorrow night if I don't end up working a double shift..

More pictures - as promised (dial up...beware): Notice that she was built in January of 1963 (she's 3 months older than me). You may see some fingerprints & smudges from the high quality resolution from my digital camera, but I assure you - she looks much better in person. She's about 46" long with a 25 1/2" barrel, Finnish adjustable trigger, Leupold 4x scope with m8 reticle, & a host of other nice features. No she's not perfect, but by God she can shoot! Now if I just figure out how to scan my target so I can post it?? Now back to our sponsor (I was thinking about Billy Mayes when I posted the "but wait..." thing earlier). I'm open to offers and/or trades. I'm not really looking for anything in particular but you never know. $699 shipped (in a plastic hard case) & insured to your FFL. I am motivated to sell and/or trade this rifle - I need the money for a 7x57 I'm having made! Offers? Trades? PM or e-mail me: darrellgolden charter.net

Okay you guys have had your chuckles.Seriously I have seen and lusted over this rifle in person. It is a fantastically pretty firearm.I know DOG hates to get rid of it but he is having a custom rifle made by a great gunmaker and money is needed for that project. His loss....your gain.

The more I listen,the more I hear....and vice versa.
45/70,it's almost a religion.
If you have to take a second shot then you probably shouldn't have taken the first shot.

Nice target! I have no doubts that this .243 can do much better with a little tweaking & some handloads!!
$699 shipped! Trades? Partial trades? Offers??
I'm thinking one of you guys out west need something like this to reach out & touch something at distance. The truth of the matter is that around here 70-100 yards is about as far as you can shoot anything because of the vegetation or contour of the land.
