A buddy inherited a Husqvarna .30-06 bolt-action and says it needs a new stock and wants to know where to find one.
The only information he sent to me was this:

Husquvarna Vapenfabrik A.H. 30.06 U.S.
s/n 1130xx

He says the guy who owned it was going to put on a scope at one point, and would like to know more about doing that, also.

When I 'Googled up' info on the gun, it looks like it is of the small-ring Mauser type and there's a resemblance to the Zastava action used by Interarms; Charles Daly; and now Remington.
I've seen that Hogue has a stock for that action.

ANY tips on stock replacement and scoping this treasured rifle would be appreciated.

Last time I was at Hansen and Hansen in Southport, CT, they had a huge pile of original high grade husqvarna stocks. Nice walnut, forend tips, nice chequering. Drop me a pm if you want their contact info.

I think I have a stock to fit your buddy's rifle. I re-stocked a Husky a little while ago, this was a large-ring, 98 action, and I still have the original stock. P.M. me if your interested.
