Yep. I just put my "dog of a lifetime" down this year.  I have her ashes sitting on my safe right now and when it's time to plant me, she's gonna be right there by my side....

If they don't,I want to go where they finally rest.I have been very LUCKY in my 60 years to have had at least 5 or 6 dogs who have touched my life.I look into their eye's and see LOVE AND AFFECTION,that's right there behind the LOVE AND AFFECTION I have for my DARLING,WIFE.

I've got my own take on this, which is based in large part on the writings of G.K.Chesterton and C.S. Lewis. Those two guys had more brains together than the rest of us here at the 'Fire combined, and they seem to have thunk that not only dogs, but even CATS got a place in heaven.
