Not much rain, 15-16 feet a year on average.

I hear ya, I'd rather read the Euro boys discussions on optics than sit in a tree.

Every animal in the woods knows exactly which hunting tags are in your pocket... and which ones aren't!

shoot it, if it moves shoot it again, repeat as necessary.
#6 shot from a .410 will bounce off a leather coat at 50 yards.

With a 300 mag you aim low the first 300 yards because the bullet is still climbing and you don't need to aim high until about 700 yards. (yes I've actually been told this one)
Aim on hair, not on air.
The bigger the buck/gobbler, the more likely they have read the season dates for that year.
All rifles are sub 1" shooters. Sometime you have to shoot from 20 yards though.
No animal has access to a chronograph and they don't care about how fast that bullet/broadhead went through their vitals. They're more concerned about why they are feeling light headed all of sudden.

No one has ever recovered their failed bullet out of a dead animal.
And also...

Sorry I forgot this post was looking for "trueisms."
I like it here. They let me swear.

"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrBDivsSe3k" How does that relate to this thread? . Wondering if everyone feels it true. If so, it's a truism.
