The absolutely loudest sound is when a brown bear is charging at 10 yards and your gun goes......... click.

WD40 is the gunsmith's best moneymaker, even though he doesn't sell it.

3 Shot Groups are not the same as 5 shot groups.

Tight groups are impressive, but a rifle that is consistent with it's first shot is more impressive.

Those (fill in the blank) bullets suck. I saw gordy's brother shoot that elk 6 times and it still ran off!

Don,

Actually, I prefer the classic version (which may or may not be that):

"One shot meat, two shots maybe, three shots heap sh-t."

Phil Shoemaker's comment about the .30-06 is a new/old classic, so much so that I have quoted it.

I was told by a guy I was hunting with once( If I can see it I can kill it, I'm shooting a 7MM mag, it only drops 15 inches in a thousand yards.) I said maybe 15 feet.

Round nose bullets are better "brush bucking bullets" that light weight pointed bullets.

A 243 Win. is an OK deer round but only if you hit them right (I love this one).

Deer always run with their nose to the wind.

Wild turkeys purpose in life is to test the sanity of a hunter.

It always rains on opening day.

The ____MAG is overkill for deer! (you fill in the blank).
