Recently there was a thread about upgrading and using the Lyman 1200 DPS. I did install the upgrade by the way. I noticed that some comments were made about the difficulty of emptying and changed powders in this model. I thought I would share my thoughts on this problem and how I feel I cured it for me.

I used 2 of the clear plastic ammo containers from the CCI 22 RF 100 count ammo. I used clear Silicone addhestive to attach them to the bottom, thinking that if I didn't like what I did, it wouldn't be to difficult to remove them. I also added some of the rubberized pads to the bottoms to keep it from sliding all over the bench. The powder receptical is a RubberMaid container that I found at Wally World.

To empty the measure, put the container in the back and open the chute and lift the front of the measure a little. To empty the rotating tube, lift the left side of the measure and press the fast button and the tube will clear itself into the powder pan.
This works very well for me and getting that measure up off the bench has helped alot. Don't forget to close that damn shut.

OR, you could just turn the measure around and pull it up to the edge of the table, hold your powder can underneath it.

By the way, in case you missed it, Jeremiah was a bullfrog.
