My Mark II All Weather is 1/2" moa out of the box with off the shelf Remington Express 150 Core Lokts and is my go-to gun when I need it. It has put more critters, 40+, on the ground than all my other rifles combined.

I traded a mini 14 for one of these Ruger M77 MII in 260 rem with stainless barrel and boat paddle stock. Have had good luck in my limited usage but would like to know what I need next. I know about the trigger being a little hard. I was not able to locate 120 gr. remington core loks at very reasonable prices so I have bought about 5 boxes of 140 gr core loks. When I run out of these, I want to start handloading, and would like your opinions of what dies to order and what are some of your favorite recipes. I apologize if this is not the place for this question. If that is the case, but you do have some info for me, please email the information to me. Thanks

I have a 22-250,257 Roberts and a 338-06 on Ruger MKII actions. They all shoot sub-MOA with my Barnes TSX hand loads and the newer one with the LC6 trigger is great. The other 2 triggers have been worked and are now very good.

I'm betting you will love your new rifle.....I have Remingtons,Winchesters,Marlins and a few customs and my favorites are my Rugers.

My MkIIs are 6.5x55, 7x57, and 280. They are all MOA capable and the feeding/ejecting is very slick and sure. I did a spring change on the triggers and the barrel on the 7x57 is free-floated, otherwise they are box stock. I've owned and fired many other rifles over the years but none have been a better value than these Ruger MkIIs. I have owned many tang-safety Rugers as well but I prefer the later MkIIs for the CRF and the excellent accuracy of the hammer-forged Ruger-made barrels.

Late to the Ruger party as far as centerfire bolt rifles are concerned.

First one I ever bought was a Mark II Magnum for dad to take to Africa. We were so impressed with the performance and build quality of the gun, that I bought a MkII RSI in 30-06 for my own hunting rifle when we got back. Dad has since also gotten a MkII RSI in 30-06 because he liked mine so much, and because it was somewhat impractical to go deer hunting in PA with a .416 Rigby.

Love the three-position safety and mine are all three stock. With iron sights, I'm getting 2" groups at 50 yards. This is more than adequate for me with the factory trigger. For comparison, my Savage 114 gets sub-MOA groups with a scope at 50 yards. The Accu-trigger gets the nod there.

I own 2 and will own more, I'm sure. Have a 257 Roberts standard M77 and a RSM in 416 Rigby. Both are full-length bedded and have had the triggers worked. See targets below.

I've got three of the Rugers....

A stainless / synthetic MKII in 7mm-08....it's my goto gun during deer season.

A blued / wood MKII in .257 Roberts....pretty gun.

An older tang safety blue / wood in .270 Winchester. The first deer rifle I ever purchased on my own. It's also the best shooter of the bunch.
