I am actually starting to feel sorry for the addled old man. Something is terribly wrong when the only emotion this senile old dog can elicit is pity. http://sfist.com/2008/10/21/film_du_jour_mccain_mistake.php

Bummer, I was hoping we were done with the Backward world. So, is your handle a code word for sodomy or just a random accumulation of characters? BMT

I still hope McCain gets elected as life with Obama looks poor to worse. It is easy to see why he is so popular, he is going to give to us and give to us. Health Care for free, College Educations for free, solve the worlds problem by the US becomming "GLOBAL". People on entitlement programs LOVE the thought of getting more money from the Evil rich and big companies. As I said, I hope J McCain wins, but in the event he doesn't,, we (well not me and many of you at the Fire)deserve it, I mean really deserve a dose of Socialism. I can hardly wait to see what happens when he increases the Taxes on the "big" businesses we all either work for or depend upon. I see 4 choices with that. #1 Business will move out of the US where they can operate without the Tax burden (Lord know we have many offshore already), that meaning everybody working for them will be laid off, creating another social problem. #2 The companies will simple do the expected thing and that will be to simply raise their prices for goods and we will STILL be paying their taxes Obama put in place. Big companies answer to the stockholders and are required to make a "profit" #3 Massive layoffs by Companies unable to move offshore to cover the loss of Profit because of Obama taxes. #4 Many business will simply opt to close down for lack of profit for the work they do and the risks taken, again, massive layoffs. It would take an idiot to think the Government can raise taxes and the Country will be better off. Obama alludes to the Big Oil making obscene profits, the Gomermint has already held hearings on Big Oil for all the winfall profit they made. I am still waiting to see an investigation into the Federal Government for their obscene winfall profits from taxing oil to the tune of 3 times what the Big Oil companies take in profits. I just don't care much anymore, I am burning out on this. Just remember when you are unemployed because your company shuts down or moves YOU voted for the Socialist guy. Like they say, you can't tax yourself into prosperity. I actually don't care what happens, I am retired and already getting a free (well not free, I have paid into it since the early 60's) peice of the pie through Social Security. hell, I might do better with the Socialist in power.

Like the guy...but think he has made some poor choices that we are about to Uncle.
Throwing the election? Why? Could be the same reason he voted against the Bush Tax Cut.....................but who's counting voting records??

I don't think McCain is throwing the election.
He just never had the guts to do what it took to win.

HS...Quit looking at segments of the voting Bills, my friends. Look at the add-ons...then you'll understand!
Matt...what the hell is a matter with you? In your line of work, I'd suggest you stop crticizing the GOP candidate and start protecting the wonderful business you have... You folks keep listening to the MSM instead of your own brains. Kinda scary!

McCain is not a great orator. He doesn't bring up points like he should. He's more of a "Speak softly and carry a big stick" type of guy.
B.O. is a great orator, yet his stick is an over boiled spaghetti noodle.
Both sides ignore the constitution when it suits them. Hey, if we wanted real change then we should have supported Ron Paul. Of course I suspect that with is attack on the Federal Reserve banking system he wouldnt have lived long.
The older I become the more I am convinced that the voice of honor in a man's heart is the voice of GOD.

I don't think McCain is throwing the election.
He just never had the guts to do what it took to win. More like he didn't have the ideas. McCain was never able to articulate any new and compelling ideas that set him apart. Disillusionment with the Bush administration was clear from all the polling in the last 18 months, but McCain, while saying he wasn't Bush, was never able to stake out a unique position. He placed his bet on the experience issue hoping that the war would be the defining issue. If that had been the case, he might have won with his better national security chops. But, like GHWB, the economy became the defining issue, and McCain is not someone (by his own admission) who has a good grasp economics, and when the perception of most of the public is that the economy is tanking, 'more of the same' is not a good platform to run on. Americans are fickle creatures, and they like change every once in a while, needed or not.

Matt I'm with you too. Don't like him but will be voting for him considering my choices. Something tells me this country needs to hit the bottom before we wake up and see what a S#&%hole it has become, Hopefully there will still be enough of it left to make it the great country it once was.

Hitting the bottom seems to be a theme with some of you. Do any of you intelligent men realize the bottom might be 30 years of a diiferent SC bench?
Do any of you realize the bottom may be 10 years of getting socialistic programs reversed?
Do any of you realize the bottom will be suffered by your children?
Do any of you realize used car salsmen don't make for world leaders?
The MSM has taken a hold of some of you. Get out there...talk to your sphere of influence and do your part to end this potential nightmare!
It's real [bleep] simple.....VOTE. If you do...McCain takes Pennsylvania Avenue!
