Recently picked up a 329pd and so far like it except for the sights which I'm having changed.Recoil isn't as bad as I expected. What handloads have you guys had success with. I'm looking for 255 keith and 300 gr cast loads mostly. Thanks.

Friend of mine in Montana picked up a 329PD for horseback riding and trail bike cruising. I think she carries it with the 255 Keith's ahead of plenty of 296. Not exactly something she wants to shoot all day, but a nice load for toothy things that live around her Ennis, Mt home.

Haven't loaded for my new 329PD as of yet. However, am using the Buffalo Bore "Reduced Recoil" load, which is a 255 grain Keith-type hard cast, gas checked @ approx. 1300 fps. Should be a good recipe for what could trouble you. And with the M500 grips installed, the recoil is no great concern .... about the level of shooting a M629 Mountain Gun ... at least to me.

I run 11 grs of Unique and Beartooths 250 gr Keith GC. Right around 1200fps. 10 grs works well and most likely cover any thing that arises while being a little milder recoilng.9 grs is a nice plinking load. I swore I was going to try 2400 this time but somehow have another jug of unique to burn thru. If you haven't already snag the 500 grips.
