I'm still running V5 and got it to run in Vista by running it in compatibility mode with the Windows 98 / ME setting.

Ken14,

I ran into the same problem. It turns out that my new machine is 64 bit and many of my old programs are 32 bit and will not run on it.

Good luck,

Happened to be on Sierra's site to see if there was a free upgrade to 6.0 (no). Came across this:

Infinity 5.1 on Vista tricks
Infinity 5.1 is NOT compatible with Vista. We have found a few ways to make it work in most cases however.

Install Infinity 5.1 on the computer as normal and allow it to install in the default location.

Once installed, right click on the Infinity 5.1 icon on the desktop and chose Properties. Click the Compatibility tab and check the box marked Run this program in compatibility mode for:. In the drop down menu, select Windows 98/Windows Me and click apply than OK.

Double click on the desktop icon and Infinity should run normally for you now.
Sierra - Vista

Can't help myself as I don't have Vista. Last 5.x update was March 2005 (bullet database). There is an upgrade to 5.1 if you still have 5.0. Sierra - Updates
