I lost my rangefinder this year hunting so time pick up a new one. I had the bushnell scout and honestly it worked fine for me out to 500yds and right now thats as far as I need one to work. Of course I would really like to pick up a leica but funds right now won't allow that. So any input on the nikon?

I have the Monarch 800 model, and it seems to work fine. Had it out in rain, shine, and clouds, and seems to have no problems out to 500-600 or so. Past that, target quality needs to be high.

YMMV,
