Just curious, anyone using 100 gr. Hornady spire points on smaller whitetail deer like the ones we have here in Alabama? My 257 wby loves them at the range and would like to try them in the field. Would like to hear your feedback. Thanks 31 bertram

Bang flop has been my experience. Run them over 69 grains of RL22 in a Vanguard and it shoots so well (about 1/2 inch) that I see no need to try anything else. Have not run them through a Chrograph yet but they work VERY well for me. TM
Some mornings, it just does not feel worth it to chew through the straps!~

I used to run a 257 Wby a bit and I pretty much used 7828 and the 100 Horns for deer/elk/lopes/yotes and it always did well for me. I'd not worry and would go forth and fill up the jockey box on your rig with those smallish deer... Dober

At 3000 fps from my Roberts, they've done well by me for decades.
