Same here. Right now I've got 4 of them (I think) and I could use a couple more...

I only have 2 of the VX3 3.5-10x40 but could use 2 more now. Maybe we will get some real good deals going.

Find some good close-out deals cause rest assured the new scopes will be the same as the old ones. I remember getting excited about being "Eclipsed" and I don't own a rife I hate enough to put one of those deformed scopes on. Maybe we should have a little fun guessing game as to what Diamond Coat will be renamed to. Hum, maybe Sapphire Coat, Tungsten Coat.......they will be sporting new prices and that's a given.

They'll change the name, come up with some type of "rainguard", and jack up the price 20% will be my guess.

Rainguard is way to advanced for them.

I spoke to the dealer here in my hometown this past weekend and he did confirm that Leupold was taking the VXIII away. He even mentioned that there is talks of taking away either the VX-L or the VX-7, I can't remember for sure which one. He did say that Leupold was putting something new out on the market, but he knew no details. I asked about the 20% discount, and he said he was not going to discount his since they are already priced lower than MAP.

I guess we will just have to wait and see what they come out with next!!!

look for new lighter scopes in the future possibly. some mannufactures are contracting w/the company that does bushnell's rain guard; this is fact. companys seldom go backwards when they discontinue their primiume line. there's always new technology coming out. now some may disagree, but there are better cars than the model A ford. right?

let me give you boys a lil' tip. you might wanna turn off that engine 'fore you go and change that there fan belt!

They all pale in comparison to the Bushnell Elites & the Zeiss Conquest.

Personally I can't tell the difference in the VX1, VX2, and VX3 either. They just don't transmit enough light.

They say opinions and perceptions vary, and boy is that true.

I may even try to catch a couple of those dim old VX-IIIs on clearance. I've got a perfect application for a 1.5-5x20, and a 3.5-10x40 too.
